New Business

For those of you who still follow me, please check out my business blog at www.busybee-embroidery.blogspot.com. I plan to get back to posting on this blog very soon.

I started this embroidery business so that I could continue to be a stay at home mom. I've really loved creating appliquéd shirts for customers as well as gifts. I'd love to help you create something, too!!

Santa Claus, Decorating the Tree and Christmas Card Attempts

I LOVE this time of year!  We took the kids to see Santa.  Edward loves anything in costume.  People dressed in costume have never bothered him.  He was so excited about seeing Santa and telling him what he wanted for Christmas.  Emily Kate just sat in his lap and tugged on his beard.  Poor man!!

Here are a few pictures from seeing Santa, decorating the tree and the MANY attempts at getting a Christmas card pic!

This was probably the best pic of the 3 of them.  I ended up having to make a card with 3 individual pictures!

Thanksgiving 2010

This year we spent Thanksgiving with my Dad and his family in Locust Fork, AL.  This was the first Thanksgiving in 30 years that I wasn’t with my mom.  It was also the first time since my grandmother died (it’s been 3 years) that I have seen my aunts, uncles and cousins.  We gathered at my aunt and uncle’s house and had a blast.  They have several horses and Edward was in heaven!!

Trip to the Zoo

Back in November, we made a trip to Montgomery to take Edward to the zoo. We met Aunt Jac and Baby William and Aunt Hollister for an afternoon of seeing the animals. Edward LOVES the zoo. His favorite animal is the rhinoceros. We even got to feed the giraffes. What a fun experience!! Edward was a little nervous at first, but giggled when he saw the giraffe's long tongue grab the leaf I was holding!

The Big 3-0!

On November 6, I celebrated the big 3-0. If my birthday falls on a Saturday, it is always Auburn’s Homecoming. Thomas, with the help of my awesome sister and sister-in-law, threw together a fun little tailgate party to celebrate. A good friend of ours has a RV so they allowed us to set up camp at their tailgate spot. It was a VERY cold day. It was so nice for everyone that attended. My mom, dad and brother all drove up from Montgomery to make the day special. My sweet friend, Haley of Simply Charming Cakes, made a deliciously, adorable cake complete with all 30 candles!

Thank you Thomas, Hollister and Jacqueline for making my day extra special!!

Happy Halloween!

We had a very fun Halloween this year.  Since my youngest sister is currently living in Auburn, she was able to trick or treat with us.  Thomas’ parents also joined us.  It was so much fun this year.  I think Edward was really able to grasp the concept of going door to door.  He enjoyed being able to run in the street and he certainly enjoyed the candy!!
