New Business Venture

Well, I've decided to take on a new job (as if stay at home mom wasn't enough)! I have recently become a consultant for a company called Thirty-One. This company was founded based on Proverbs 31. In this passage, it refers to a woman who worked in her community for her family. We offer a great selection of gifts and accessories that are fun, stylish, useful and affordable. A great thing about Thirty-One is that most of the products include personalization. With that being said, if anyone is interested in hosting a party or purchasing any products, please feel free to contact me. You can visit my website to purchase items online. www.mythirtyone.com/katiecorbitt

AU vs. LSU

Edward and I decided we would tailgate with our good friends, the Koens, for the Auburn game. Thomas was playing for a tailgate party so I figured instead of sitting at home we'd tailgate. Here are a few pictures of our afternoon on the lawn of Samford Hall. War Eagle!

Big Boy!

From Bumbo to...

Highchair!

What a big boy Edward is getting to be! We have made the transition from feeding in the Bumbo to feeding in the highchair. He can barely see over the tray and we have to put a pillow behind him because he is just not quite big enough to do it on his own! We have also tried giving him juice in a sippy cup instead of the bottle. He hasn't quite figured out how to get the juice out, but he enjoys chewing on the top! Edward has two bottom teeth that have finally poked through. I've been saying for months that he was teething but everyone said it was too early! My baby boy is growing up so fast!!

Kentucky

Friday morning we headed to Kentucky since it was a long weekend. Thomas has a fraternity brother that lives up there (Matt and Katie Jones). It was a short trip but much needed. We weren't quite sure how traveling 8 hours with a 5 month old would turn out but it actually wasn't that bad. Edward slept most of the way and when he was awake, his big sis was entertaining him. Unfortunately, I did not take a whole lot of pictures. Here is a sweet picture of Edward and Brooke napping in the car.

Saturday, we headed to Lexington to meet another fraternity brother for lunch. We then traveled to Georgetown (where Thomas went his freshman year of college) to visit a family friend of the Corbitts. We had a great visit with everyone.

Sunday, we went to church with Matt (aka Jonesy) and Katie. Thomas and Jonesy sang "In the Garden." It seems to be a tradition every time we go to Kentucky for Thomas and Jonesy to sing. After church we had lunch with Jonesy parents. We then went home to change and went over to Jonesy's parents house. They live on a huge farm. They farm corn, soy beans and tobacco. Brooke enjoyed driving the mule with Jonesy and exploring the farm!

All and all it was a fun and relaxing trip. Edward was so good and proved to be an excellent traveler! We hope everyone else had a wonderful Labor Day!
