3 Months and a Road Trip

Last Friday, Edward turned 3 months old. It is so hard to believe how big he's gotten and the changes that he has made in the last 3 months. Everyone says, "they grow up quick." I never dreamed so much would happen in 3 months. In 3 months, we have gone through countless amounts of diapers, wipes and burp cloths. For a while we couldn't get a clean burp cloth under us before we had spit up on us for the millionth time!! I can't even begin to tell you how many loads of BABY stuff I have washed. Edward has smiled, cooed, gurgled, laughed and cried. It is SO amazing to see all of these changes. I love to hear him laugh and to see him smile!

Also, we took our first road trip. Edward has made many treks with me to Montgomery to see my mom and to Tuskegee to see Thomas' family. Mom, Edward, Brooke and I traveled to DeFuniak Springs, FL to see my grandparents. My grandmother hurt her back and has been on bedrest for a couple of weeks. She met Edward the day he was born, but didn't see him again until Friday. It was a fun but short trip. We were in the car a total of 6 hours and he slept most of the time. So, it wasn't too bad of a drive. I'm curious to see how he acts when we drive 8 hours to Kentucky in a couple of months!!

Bath Time and Rice Cereal

Edward LOVES his nightly bath in his "garden tub". He is always so happy especially when I add bubbles! We have been "experimenting" with rice cereal on and off for a few weeks now. Last night I was a little more aggressive with it. I'm not sure if he liked it or not!

Welcome Baby Edward!

I know I am a little late in posting about my precious baby boy, but oh well!! On March 27, 2008, we welcomed Thomas Edward Corbitt, Jr. into the world. After 33 hours of labor and then a C-Section we were excited to meet our new addition. He is truly a blessing. I am enjoying every minute of motherhood. It is so amazing to watch him change in so many ways. It is so hard to believe that he is almost 3 months old. Time really flies! We have had a few scares since he was born, but we have trusted God to help us get through it. Edward became sick with RSV when he was about 4 weeks old. After battling RSV, two ear infections and the flu, he is finally doing much better. I can't believe how fast he has grown. His big sister, Brooke (Thomas' daughter that I adopted two years ago) has been a big help. I am going through the infant stages as well as the pre-teen years, which, by the way is VERY trying. Needless to say, we're hanging in there.

Just minutes old!

I can't wait to sleep that peacefully, again!!

Nap time with Daddy!

Brooke and Edward
We love to wear him out at the pool!!

Never say never!

Well, I'm new at this so bear with me. I never thought that I would actually sit down and write a blog. Now that I am a mother, I couldn't think of a better way to keep our family and friends updated on what is going on with the Corbitt Family. I'm still "experimenting" with this whole idea of blogging. Once I figure everything out, I'll post more as well as some pictures.
